This client came to us with a wordpress website already built, but poorly optimized for it’s competitive product.
We did a heavy amount of on-page optimization to get the site in order. We found a lot of duplicate product pages and SEO landing pages that we promptly de-indexed and removed from Google’s index. Once the site was updated we started the link building process. This was a very competitive market so rankings didn’t start to really take shape until the 5-6 month mark. By month 6 we had over half their keywords in the top 2 pages. By the end of the year we had over 80% of their keywords on page 1.

The site was built on BigCommerce and had technical issues holding it back as most e-commerce sites do. It took a few months to clear out all the technical specifics and have their developer implement our recommendations. Once the technical issues were fixed, the biggest growth came from re-writing all the title tags on pages that were bringing in organic traffic and link building to specific product inner pages. The product brand and model numbers have good search volume so focusing on those made a big difference. Also, getting into the top 3 results for their most coveted keyword “bell bottom leggings” was paramount for boosting organic traffic to their comparison page.
